Gen II Spoiler on Gen I

My 89 obviously did not come with a spoiler. I am getting the car painted so I figure if I am going to get one, now is the time. Will a Gen II spoiler fit on a Gen I? I am not having any luck finding an oh-so rare 91+ spoiler but can find Gen II spoilers all over.

I am surprised I searched the forum and did not find this question asked already. Sorry if I missed it.

Not to steal your thread but I'm acually trying to do the oppisite. My 90 had a spoiler when I got it, obviously, it's aftermarket. I think it's hedious and I want it off of the car, but for the life of me I cannot get the screws that hold it on to budge an inch. But anyway, I don't see any reason that a Gen II one wouldn't fit on a Gen I.

IIRC i think it will fit but it doesnt match up,looks akward.....
theres got to be a reason theres no gen 1's here on the forum with G2 spoilers.

check the sig....its got like a 1/4 inch gap under the brake light and thats it. Nothing to noticeable. The gen 2 trunks were a little more round in the back if you were looking at the trunk from above.

gen 2 wing on my 89 as of today looks very nice acually

there is the small gap but u cant tell at all
