Engine developed a very intermittent stutter a few weeks back. Pulled codes which showed 19 and 33. Disconnected cam sensor and car ran fine although a couple difficult starts as I expected. Swapped in a spare sensor off a car from the pick and pull and stutter returned. I'm thinking it is not the sensor now. Anything else to check for that would cause a stutter and cam sensor code?

BTW, I cleaned the EGR passages, cleared codes and code 33 is not in memory.

Rec. start over w/ known good cam sensor, clear codes.( Cam sensor & stutter possibly unrelated) Check for proper operation of DPFE, I'm assuming all egr plumbing is clean throughout intake and DPFE hoses.

When I came across this problem, it was a broken wire just before the cam sensor connector.
