You need to get them from Ford or Sachs for OEM struts. Most common aftermarket struts suck. You can get some Gen 2 Konis and put them in Gen 3 housings.

The car is at ford right now because he bought it from the dealer. They warrantied the car and need of some rear struts, so ford is going to replace them but they dont carry it anymore at all. Does parts stores sell the Sachs or online only?

If I can get Ford struts from online Ford parts sellers your dealer can get them. They just don't want to pay the +$200 price for them.

I think Rock Auto even sells the Ford struts.

The only thing is the left front seems to be not available anymore from anywhere but Sachs. The right rears are cheap and I can find them for under $50 on some auction sites.

My rear struts are shot. Can you pm me a place to find them at a reasonable price Paul?

I've been told gen IV struts are basically the same things as 99 SHO struts (post SARC). Those are the ones I'm planning on going with combined with Eibach springs....

They actually have a specific strut for each side? Does it have to do with the electronics?
