take the hub off and to a shop that has a hydraulic press, an extra 40 dollars vs ruining a rented slide hammer and then the 40 dollars.

Just go buy a cheap press at 40 bucks a pop? Theyre super handy to have around and really arent overly expensive to pick up if you have a Harbor Freight near by.

Having now done this, it's child's play in retrospect.

Go to autozone and rent their race installation kit.

Just be sure to press the old bearing out in the correct orientation, the knuckle has a stop on the outer side or the bearing, I pressed the wrong direction and ended up bending the caliper bracket mounts... Doi.
