I have never seen a piece like the one you pictured. I got mine from gauge pods.com and it looks like crap. Mine also goes over the factory a pillar.

I'm pretty sure the Taurus gauge pods were designed to go over the factory A-pillar trim. I think the Gen 1 and Gen 2 pods were made by Lotek (gaugepods.com) and SP Motorsports resold them.

Unfortunately, none of these pictures show the gap on the Gen 1 pod. In SHO AMO's picture, you can see where the gap is on the middle and bottom gauge. If the picture was taken looking into the car, you'd see it.

I think I know what you are talking about. There is a gap on it that kinda reveals where the wiring is routed. I mean it isnt terrible looking, just would look a lot cleaner if it was flush with the surface.

I can't believe they've been selling a piece obviously not designed for our year models and nothing has been done about it. Has anyone even made a complaint to the company to fix this problem?

If they were, then I dun goofed.

That said, I installed mine in place of the stock A pillar trim, and there are 0 gaps, 0 visible wires... it's looks stock, for all intents and purposes.
