Why not do a camaro/firebird style exhaust and have the muffler run from side to side. That would allow it to be more universal. The people that want dual can have dual and the people that want single can have single coming out the passenger side and the piping in front of the muffler would not have to change. Everybody's wins.:thumb:

i dont think people were worried about it being fake daul, because that wasnt the case. they wanted it to be the fake daul, and vrs wasnt willing to go through the extra trouble to make a rear y for one or two people. that and people were requesting mufflers and whatnot. on a side note the groupbuy is going great over on the mx6 boards for one

I think you might not have misunderstood me, or you’re just unaware. The camaro/firebird exhaust is a "fake" dual exhaust. The difference between the two is that that camaro/firebird exhaust doesn’t have the Y-Split over the rear control arm, it splits inside the muffler. It uses one muffler instead of two, which could help with costs, and could easily be used for a single or dual application with the same pipes. My idea is to use this type of setup so only one set of pipes would have to be bent up for both applications and one muffler bought for either single or dual outlet. The only question is fitment of the muffler. I see room for it, but I could be wrong.

problem there is where to mount the muffler, theres a tire well in the center
unlike a F-Body,preventing it from that location.unless you wanted it to hang WAY low.

When do you want to get yours done? Might be too far away for you guys, but I'll probably be ready in May if we want to do it together.

May sounds good. I know I could always drive down, but Im always looking for a bargain.

I just need a 2.5 mandrel bent around the rod shifter, but I'm not driving to Florida just for that.
