If you've ever worked with the stock clamps, you know that they are very easy to strip, and it looks like those would too. If you are going to be using those clamps in the picture, I am not interested. I may be interested in just the silicone however, if that's an option. I can buy band clamps on my own.

How tight are you tightening them?

I've had one strip and it was because the clamp itself was defective (the band had a malformed tooth)... and I am the king of overtorquing stuff. The clamps don't need to be that tight.

How do you figure the pictured clamps would be easy to strip?

Once the group buy starts I'll see if I can manage a silicone only purchase for you.

Ladies and gentlemen, the hoses arrived today and I am very excited to inform you that the group buy will take place within the next few days. I am extremely satisfied with the quality and fit.

They are not yet available for sale. Keep an eye out for the group buy in the classifieds section; it should be up within a few days.

like I said before I'm in for a set right away, Black please :)

I have a leak around the front tube that is near the TB on the tank, I just wonder how much of a vac leak it really is.

Taking any for show / sale to the cookout this Sunday Alex?

Mel, I just might do that...but only for show since the actual hose I'm using hasn't been ordered yet, plus I want the forum to benefit a little from this group buy.

I would like to finish painting my spare intake so I can display the hoses on the intake manifold. Now I have to move my butt :)

How long to get? I'm proably in for $50 if it's quick.

Whenever the group buy goes up (next few days) it will be about 2-3 weeks before anyone gets a set.

Are the hose ends cut pretty square?
I replaced my old intake hoses with some heavy duty stuff from NAPA a while back so I don't need any extra.
I would have easily gave the $50 to keep from cutting my own,and making them square. That was a PITA.
