Gas mileage

I live in a decently sized city with a population of about 450,000. in the city my gas mileage is amazing, my last tank pulled 353mi, is that normal? anyone getting numbers like this, just wondering

I do about 75% highway and I usually pull 350-380 a tank. Some people here claim more than that but I don’t believe its possible to get over 415 using 16 gallons. Ford rated the SHO at 18 city and 26 on the highway.

I get 29 hwy and 20 city. Mixed I get around 23-24.

The best I have gotten in my SHO's is:

89 with 125k on it - usually 300-325 highway driving mostly
92 with 120k on it - IF I get 300 I am very pleased :headbang:
91+ with 110k, just finished 60k, just balanced and aligned tires, I managed to get 31mpg - which I remember was well into the 400mi range. This was constant driving no stops at 75 mph through the flatlands of ND.

my 93atx...I am lucky to get 20mpg HIGHWAY. :headbang:

It really depends on how I drive. If I'm driving slowly around town, not getting on it or anything, I can get 22-24 mpg. I typically average 22 in town and 28-31 on the highway. Mileage improves in warmer weather for me (shorter warmup cycle I believe is the reason for that).

I just got 27 and was happy with that...I only have a 16 gal tank in my 90. I can really tell a difference in mileage with the brand of gas too (chevron or 76 premium give me the best mileage)

Low gas light comes on w/ 3 gals left...and when It comes on I get 13 gals into it. I have never put more than 15.4 into it, and that was with the guaged peged on the red. Also, my 1990 manual states the standard capacity is 16 gals and 18.3 gals with the "extended range" option.
