Hello everyone, I just moved to Montreal and wanted to know which gas is best for my SHO? I use to put Amoco, Sunoco and Mobil in the states and noticed that these brand names don't exist here in Montreal. Is Petro-Canada, Ultramar, or Esso any good? I think Esso is Exxon/Mobil, right?

Esso is Exxon. Used to be Esso here also till they changed the name in the seventies. Personally, I don't make a big fuss over who's gas I use. I don't believe there's a whole lot of difference. I would just use gas from a place that does lots of business, so you don't have to worry about old possibly water contaminated fuel.

Well it seems that I'm not the only one around here now, welcome.
Whatever you do, DON'T USE SHELL GASOLINE!!! It has been found that an additive blended into it destroys fuel systems, mainly fuel pumps. The best gas around here is the Petro-Canada 94 stuff (if you don't mind paying the 90 cents(Cdn) a litre for it) and I use it all the time, good stuff.

What part of Montreal did you move to? I'm in the west island (thank god it's mostly english on this side!). How do you like it over here so far?

Canadian tire gas has never given me any problems plus I ususally get about four dollars in Canadian Tire money back. Eight bucks a month adds up very fast and every couple of months you spend it all on car care stuff and it is like getting a free car wash. Plus the C.T. money doesn't drop in value like the good ol'Loonie.

Ultramar has good quality gas also, never had a problem with them. Unfortunately they don't have any point systems like shell and esso. Also, I did hear about that thing about the shell gas too.
