Well Just Liam and I and Arron showed up. Aaron made the trek over in his Sable from Derry. Lots of great cars there and some realllllllly cool rides you don't see every day (like an older Sentra SE-R with a transplanted SR20DET), some SRT-4 Neons (I love to hate/hate to love them...the classic muscle formula...POS sedan with a high HP engine...) a few SWEET volvos running in th elow 14s etc etc.

Anyhow, since this was the old gals first time out I ran fully loaded, 1/2 tank of gas at street pressure...Spun 1st and bogged 2nd to a 16.052 @92.59. 60' was suxors at 2.636.

My second run was against an SN-95 GT...certainly had exhaust done and a few other fun things. Low 14 second car at least. I tree the **** out of him with a .021 and pulled a 2.36 @ the 60'. ran 15.31 @ 92.82 He spun at about 30' out and had to pedal it.Only ran a 15.9 @86.29.

She definitely had more in her but I was a bit wary....no need to abuse her. My last '89 ran 15.2@ 91.8in very stock form on skinny tires so I know this one has at least 15 flat in her. We'll wait until the exhaust and new suspension are in to head back over in a few weeks. The suspension should really help with weight transfer (ie; helping stop it....) The stock mushbergers are allowing a ton of squat out back and really giving me **** with wheel spin off the line.

Mad Celt! I showed up! Got there probably around 8. As soon as I parked, I dialed your number, pressed send, and my phone instantly died. I found your car though and parked next to it for a little while (looks awesome btw! first gen 1 I've seen in person! but, calipers = Aznfruit :p j/k, they match the new barney springs).

I didn't see anyone around the cars for a bit, so I figured I'd make a pass to attract your attention. That's when I spotted fantom blu's Mercury in the staging lane next to mine. Nice to meet you. He made a pass and when he came back, called you from his phone, and you didnt answer. Then he went searching for you and found that your car was gone. :ohreally:

I made 2 passes, my first two ever, and you sure could tell. I don't have the slips on me at the moment, but the first time I launched very conservatively (trying to protect my transmission's already short life expectancy), hit the rev limiter in 2nd, and missed third for an ET of 16.8x at 8x.xx. Second time, I got a better launch, chirped 2nd, and banged third for an ET of 16.4x at 89.xx. I'm already anxious to go out again, this time with a full battery. And we should get some more people there too. It was a lot of fun seeing 10 second cars blast down the track.

Anyway ...yeah. I showed up with a dead phone. Whoops.

And my Dad snagged my new camera for his trip to the national Robotics competition in Atlanta, so no pics or vids from me unfortunately. All the more reason to go out again though!! :)

I won't be able to go again until the end of the summer because of work, so I wont be available to go to the dragway until at least mid september. next time I'm making it to 80.

Update: I'm taking her back on May 23rd, minus the junk in the trunk, the back seat, and the door panels, and my brother will be there with his '00 Mystique, and he's gonna try and get the CEGers down there, so if your in the area and want to see the Sable break 80 your more than welcome to swing by.

Let that smaller driver bang some gears- every 100lbs of weight removed = 1/10th off your time... Ha ha! :)

Change of plans not pulling the back seat out when we go, pulling out the front seat, back seat has the amp on it and its a pain to remove.

I'm going back and hitting 80 on May 23rd, if you want you can probably come up to my house and help me and my brother strip the Sable down, and then you can go with us to New England Dragway, its really cool up there I was sittin in the lane for my first run and a SS Camaro named Total Obsession rolled by, thought my doors were going to fall off the car was shaking so much.
