Wow cool sight. I have had my SHO for over 11 Years. Never had and big problems, untill now.

My daughter was driving down the road and turned the car off. No fuel seems to be the problem. It then would not start, It sounded like it wanted to, but could'nt. It turns over no problem. I replaced the fuel filter, checked the battery and also the fuel inertia safty switch. All good to go. I also noticed the fuel pump does not humm , prime when you turn the key on. I also checked all the fuses under the dash. All good. I droped the tank and bench tested the pump it workerd. I sending switch has been non functional for a long time. The sock on the fuel pump is good and the tanks was relatively clean too. I always run premium. I asked the Ford dealer for some advise. He stated there is a fuel pump relay under the hood. I used my Haynes shop book and I could not find anyting about it. Anyting I am missing? I thank you all in advance. Mac

Please identify your car specifically by year and transmission.

The fuel pump relay is internal to the IRCM/CCRM box mounted on the front radiator support and is not user-replaceable by a casual owner. There is a comprehensive information thread stickied in the Electronics sub-forum relating to the module that can serve as a reference.

Welcome aboard!

The fuel pump relay is part of the ccrm mounted to the radiator support, right above the cooling fan. If it's a relay, thats where the problem is and the whole unit needs to be replaced. Have you checked the fuse panel inside the engine compartment? (drivers side at the firewall behind the strut tower). There are two 10 amp mini fuses that can blow creating a no start condition. the most common cause for these fuses to blow is the coolant overflow sensor going out. simple fix for this is to unplug the sensor. Just an idea and easy to check.
