Fuel Pressure Reg?

Can anyone out there tell me what is an indication of a bad Fuel Pressure Regulator? I am chasing my tail on my car and am running out of places to go with this thing. Anything will help

when I am accelerating, shifting out of first, into second when I come off of the clutch its like the engine died. It never stalls its just as if the fuel has been cut off. suddenly the engine comes back to like and it takes off. kinda scary when you try to scoot through an intersection. I have tried everything and am at a loss. just did the 60K, new fuel pump X2, new TPS. good plugs and wires.

Have you checked fuel pressure?

It can be checked at the fuel rails.

I took my SHo to a ford Servive center as it was running like crap they diagnosed low fuel pressure and recommended a new fuel pump although i had recently installed one, after the new pump it ran great for about a week then the same symptoms came back, only they were intermittant

Have you changed the fuel filter?

yes, changed it with the fuel pump
