Doese anyone have a fuel prussure gauge mounted inside the car?

If so was it hard to do, and how safe is it?

Unless you can find one with an electronic sender....not even sure if that exists, you have to ask yourself "is it a good idea to run a fuel line into my car". I know what my answer would be.

I realize the risk involved, thats why I asked if any one has done it.

Fuel pressure gauges don't actually run fuel into the car. They either use a mechanical isolator or an electrical sender.

A mechanical isolator is basically a cylinder with a rubber diaphram in it. The fuel is pumped in on one end and there is a non-flammable liquid in the other end. The diaphram seperates the 2 and transmits the fuel pressure into the non-flammable liquid which then pressurizes the gauge for the reading.

An electrical gauge uses an electric sender which converts the fuel pressure into an electric signal that is read by the gauge.

The mechanical gauge is considered to be more accurate but the electrical gauge is cheaper and easier to install.

Check out the Greddy guage, its very accurate, electronic so the sender is remote from inside, and the backlighting matches the SHO! Really great quality!

"Liquid filled" is a different thing altogether and is generally only needed for dedicated race cars. So you'll just be asking about mechanical or electrical type gauges. I'd recommend an electric gauge because they're cheaper and easier to install.

That liquid is a mixture of 50/50 antifreeze and water.

If you want something that is more accurate than our mechanical gauges, it's our new Stepper Motor full sweep electric gauges. We currently have 2 series that utilize these new motors, they are C2 and Cobalt.
