I am planning on installing a volt meter to keep tabs on my battery, and I will be using a pillar gauge pod. I am also considering installing an air/fuel ratio gauge and a fuel pressure gauge, all from Auto Meter.

Anybody have any experience with these last two gauges?

http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugelist.aspx?sid=12&opid=1&szid=2

Their page says that the air/fuel gauge will work with some narrow band oxygen sensors; if not then you will need a wide band O2 sensor. Since I am also considering a Tweecer for the future, I wonder if I will be able to use one O2 wide band sensor for both.

How hard is it to tap the fuel pressure sensor into the SHO fuel rail?

The A/F gauge works with narrow band ONLY. It is a 0-1v signal where wide band is 0-5v. If you want it to work with a wide band, you'll have to get something like a PLX wide band controller with the sensor and an adapter that will convert a 0-5v signal into a linear 0-1v signal for the gauge. You would only need one WB02 for both the gauge and the TwEECer when you get the proper adapter as well as the Data Q for the TwEECer.

For fuel pressure, you'll want to take it off of the schrader vavle. This will require the correct fittings. If you plan on boosting and want relative fuel pressure, call up Auto Meter and let them know that you need the adapter that will allow this.

Is the A/F gauge accurate?

I do not plan to boost my SHO, but I would like to get as much reliable HP naturally aspirated as possible.

I though that these gauges might be useful in better tuning.

The A/F gauge will only be useful if you use a wide band O2 with controller and adapter. You can find good kits at www.plxdevices.com. PanamaPat, twr, and I are all using the M-300. Yes, it will be accurate, but not very usefull without WB since you can watch both O2's on the TwEECer.

You really don't need a fuel pressure gauge NA, but it can help troubleshoot when you have problems.

Jason, how do you install the A/F wiring? Splice into one of the O2 sensor wiring?

Your red MTX looks great!

You'll have to splice into an 02 wire, but as I have said before, that will be useless. All you'll get is a light show.

In tuning performance, functionality is much 'cooler' than appearance.
