Last night (early morning really) we finished the 60k on my 95 ATX. I noticed this morning that when my car was running, gas was spraying from a fuel line that goes to the fuel rails. It was getting all over the engine bay. I couldn't see if it was from the hose or a loose hookup. Any ideas what this may be and how to fix it? I think that perhaps something got pinched when we were putting the intake back on. Thanks in advance.

The fuel line and the return line are located in above and to the left of the #1 cylinder.

Obviously one of them got damaged or came loose.

The flexible fuel lines uses quick disconnect couplers to attach to the lines that bolt to the rear valve cover. These lines then connect to the pulse dampener and the fuel pressure regulator, both of which are mounted on the engine front side of the fuel rail. These hoses get alot of strees on them when moving them out of the way. They are also good candidates for the source of your leak.

Good luck and be safe messing with the fuel under pressure!

Did you remove the cross-over hose? Easy to mis-place the copper ring gaskets under those.

It's definitly from the lines that go to the rails. Maybe one of the lines got pulled off a little bit and is causing it to do this. I wish it was easier to get to. The gas looks like it's coming from one of the ends where a screw is. Though I didn't get to look at it much because I didn't want to get fuel everywhere. Plus the spray of the gas makes it hard to get a close view of it's source. Oh well, I'll see what I can do tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

You may have cracked the female end of the fuel line coupler. It can crack right where it necks down from large to small. It happened on my engine from excessive stress caused be engine movement.

Another possibility is that the O-rings in the coupler were damaged. Either way you'll have to take it all apart and inspect it carefully.

I looked more closely at it this morning and saw that the fuel is coming from a silver ring on the line. Unfortunatly this is past my knowledge.
