My car runs rich (pulls strong though!). Rich enough the Cats can't keep up.

So, looking at getting some injectors. Should I get remans or Accel from Shosource? Stock motor.

Oh, and my rod knock - one rod bearing was showing copper bottom, and the top was missing pieces of copper! Neither was worn to steel, but actual massive pitting on the top bearing.

What about the Standard FJ689RP6 for fuel injectors?
Summit Racing lists this as OEM replacement.

Doesn't look like that's for a SHO.
For the 3.2L, Standard's e-catalog lists FJ126. I'll assume that's the correct part number?

They don't list flow rates on their website. And for that kind of money, I can get the Accels from ShoSource for a bit more or the remans from ShoSource for quite a bit less.

I should note, I do have a 3.0L that's otherwise stock, not a 3.2L. But, the 3.0L and 3.2L injectors should be the same so finding the right part number might be easier to track down via the 3.2L lookup.

The 3.2 injectors have a slightly better flow rate. If you have a stock engine then I would either have your injectors cleaned or go with some good used 3.2 injectors. You have no use for the Accels. Stock injectors are very capable of providing enough fuel for anything NA that you can throw at the engine.

How was the mating surface of the crank at the pitted bearing? Did you drag a fingernail across to make sure it was undamaged?

Yes, the crank was undamaged. Some of the vanish was gone, so there was a skinny shiny streak.

I've run tons of cleaners through the tank and ran Shell 93 octane for a year. Made no diff. Compared to my original engine, this has significantly more overall performance and pulls to 135 quickly. The old motor, even after the 120K by FPS (which bumped my gas mileage from 25 to 28 highway, BTW), would run out of steam around 120. Old motor - even match with early 200's BMW 330's when rolling. This motor - 0-100 against V6TT S4 or stock STI, and I'm only behind by 1.5 car lengths. But, it gets 29MPG highway, which is why I think it is a problem with one injector. I obviously don't want to swap my old motor's injectors in, as the motor was overdue for another 60K when I swapped them.

I'll contact ShoSource and see what they say about getting 3.2 injectors and giving them my 3.0 injectors for a core.

Here's what the rod bearings looked like, and main#3 (was checking out the thrust washers)

I have been running Valvoline Synthetic for the life of this motor since I got it, and was running Slick50 for the past 15K miles (three oil changes)

They all look good except for the 1 set. You find a main replacement? There is info about using Toyota mains archived on here somewhere.

Update: injectors are installed, and it took a little bit for it to run smooth.

Only code is 25.

Working on the brakes and a few other items next. Replacing all four calipers and ABS sensors.
