The SHO subframe is SHO only, and in your case it is Automatic Transmission SHO only.
You can adapt a later model subframe into your car if you are willing to modify it and create mounting attachments for the motor and transmission. The subframe will bolt to the car but the motor and tranny will not bolt to the subframe.
It is reported to improve handling.
I'm not 100% sure but I think the ATX SHO and SLO subframes may be the same. They are very close if they aren't the same.
Probably out of the realm of possibility, but it could be a good time to upgrade to the gen 3 subframe. It does require some work though. If you're looking for a straight swap to replace yours stick with the gen 2.
iirc, with the atx to do the 96+ subframe swap requires only relocating the front motor mount hole. the gen3 subframe is a big improvement in ride and handling, not to mention better brakes and no more pressing in wheel bearings.
