i was driving today leaving the gas station...start to drive away get to about 40 mph and the brakes come on very hard without me pressing them at all if they had no been abs they would have locked...the brake peddle is stiffer than ever. cant move the peddle a tiny bit. stop me dead in the road couldnt move the car at all. turned the car off and i could still here the abs pump running very loudly, the only way to get it off was to disconnect the battery cable, or unplug the fuse for the pump itself. even with the pump fuse out and the cables off though the pressure is still on the peddle?!?! i dont really care if i have abs or not but i still cant get the pressure off so i can move the car. what do i do?

P.s which are the return holes?

ok last night i took the fuse out of the pump...and then i took the lines loose from the master cylinder. i could hear the calipers releasing and thought ok all was fine now (cept lack of abs). then i drove to work this morning only like three mile drive. and just before i got there (like a block) they started to grab but this time i had braked b4 they grabbed unlike last time( random). so...sound like a bad or somehow clogged master cylinder? oh yeah and when i turned off the car when i got to work. i could hear this hissing coming from the brake resevoir. like there was some sort of vacumm.. or pressure on it?

ok more news...today i drove it i noticed it felt a little slugish so i stopped (brakes were stickin a little again.) i released the pressure then got some brake fluid to top it off because it was a little low. when i went to take the cap off it was under a vacum. then i poored the fluid in (first time i done it with the engine on.) and it make this garlgling noise and sucked all the fluid somewhere the fluid just dissapeared and went somewhere? and when this happened the engine dogged down a little till the idle kicked up. is it something maybe to do with the vacum assist? like the seal on the master cylinder is bad? oh yeah if the line was callapsed it would have that pressure at the master cylinder..because the line sprays when loosen it.

HAVE YOU CHECKED THE FLUID RETURN HOLES IN THE MASTER CYLINDER. When you apply the brake pressure to the pedal the fluid is pushed under pressure into the brake calipers and lines. When you release the pedal pressure the fluid should return to the master cylinder resevoir and you should see a "swirl of fluid". If not, the small fluid return holes, one or both, may be plugged and not allowing pressure to return or be released from the lines and calipers. The other possibility is the line or lines my be callapsing and not allowing pressure to be released.

allright i replaced the master cylinder with a cylinder off a reg taurus i had laying arround (same cept the cruise switch). and when i pulled off the old one the seal was blown out the back of the master cylinder and it had dumped prolly a half gallon of brake fluid into the umm vacum system i got a hand pump and pumped it all out..and put the new one on.(gonna put a sho one one later) but the caliper is still stuck a little so i think im gonna replace the bracket and sliders. btw had a heck of a time findin them for the 95. but i found this site called www.rockauto.com awesome site has everything you could need very reasonable prices too. parts should arrive soon.
