I got my reman halfshaft today, and now am trying to find the circlip and pinchbolt, as sho P.P says they cannot be reused. Checked all the online stores, and its not listed anywhere. Will i be able to get them if i walk in, or is there someplace i can find them that I have not looked. Thanks a ton!

(its the passanger side halfshaft if it counts)

There is no circlip AFAIK on the passenger side axle. The driver side axle has the circlip on the end to keep it inside the transmission. The passenger side axle is held in place via the center mount bearing. There are two bolts (8mm if I remember correctly) that hold the center mount bearing in place. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to reuse them, and I have done so MANY times.

I think the pinchbolts are AK-52...or AK-54...one of the two...buy both and you will have the ones for the rear also...I think?

Anyway, the circlip is a "future-work" aide. It helps keep the axle stay seated properly when you are wrestling with the knuckle trying to change a balljoint or whatever. You are talking about the passenger side(your sig says 91 so I assume it's an MTX)...that half shaft goes into the intermediate shaft. If it falls out while you are changing a balljoint next year, it wont add 2+ quarts of fluid to your garage floor.

edit...oh ya...no circlip there either...oh and those are 10mm...I think..

ah alright. As long as I can leave it for now. I have a 3.2 Im building for the swap. Once the 3.0 is out, ill redo the seals on the intermediate shaft, new circlips and all as well, so no worries for now. Thanks for all the help!

Yeah that's right they are 10mm bolts... I was thinking of the 8mm bolts that hold the power steering cooler to the subframe. I put the two sets next to each other when pulling my transmission and was trying to use the 8mm bolts on the center mount bearing. It wasn't very funny at the time, until I finally realized I grabbed the wrong bolts for the center mount bearing.
