Oh yeah, I sure do. But I think it'll have to wait for a little warmer weather don't you think? I don't know about painting cars and stuff. If we do it out here that'd be great also since I think it'll have to sit for a day or so after to dry, again......I'm totally clueless when it comes to painting.

One thing I wanted to ask you also about painting is if we were to sand down and prep the lip of the hood do you think we could do that also? You'll have to let me know how to do this stuff but between myself and John I think we can get 'er done.

Hey, you don't happen to live like RIGHT downtown off Sibley St. do you? My sister lives out on Grand River, and there's a house off Sibley I pass that always has a bunch of T-Birds and Cougars at it. I keep saying I'm going to stop in, ask if I can live there too

Let me know if you need help with the SHO... I'm just down the street in Hartland  In fact, I was just in Howell today, checking used starters at the salvage yard behind Big Lots.

Yep that's us, Tbird/Cougar land...lol. :thumb: Very familiar with that scrap yard. Well, I might just need a little help, if my son and I cannot figure out why it will start anfd idle great, but doesn't want to rev up.
There is also a yard on Lucy rd, which is the next street down from the other yard.

I was hoping to make it, but I"ve gotta get a new clutch in my focus. And I'm not sure if I can afford a long trip like that right now. I gotta get ready for race season. Plus worried about possibly having to pay taxes... :(

Yeah I was going to wait till warmer weather. I did some painting during the winter last year to my other truck to get it back to normal.....well as normal as I could get it and it didnt turn out very good. The paint wasnt bad but the clear coat didnt like it.

As far as the hood. I remember the work it needed. Basically I gotta grind that area down to the bare metal and then use two different kind of primers before I paint it. You dont need to wet sand it because I have to scuff the area I do the work on and then a little further up to blend it in.

More importantly.....do you have a garage or barn where I can do this in? Also, will the power hold up to my compressor? Its not very big. Its a 35 gallon/6hp motor. Its a 110/v so I dont need a 220 line. If not then I can bring my generator to run the compressor. Actually I will bring the generator just incase the compressor blows a fuse when it kicks on. I know the generator will work...it will run my whole house.

Ryan and Kurt.....since this is on Sunday and not Saturday I can go for sure. So, if ya'll still need a ride then I am in. Kurt...I have plenty of room in the Exploder if you still wanted to bring your g/f. The wife isnt going because she has many of papers to do for school. I might even have a beer too!!!!! I got some semi good news today. There is a good chance that I may be able to go back to work at Ford again....at the pay I was making when I was let go. So, everyone say a prayer and keep your fingers crossed. It would be NICE to get back to fighting fires again. If I get this job back then I am looking to get into a Gen II!

To actually get it in the garage will take a while, maybe 3 weeks? However, there is a spot for Spock in the driveway. He has permanent parking privileges here.
I'll be doing some more cutting on Chris' car this weekend. If I get REAL ambitious I may finish it, that will free up garage space.
I ain't seen your new ride yet, feel free to stop by.(again)
Juniors in the body shop, getting go-fast parts (yeah-RRRiiight)

+2 for me. Rob (eksphatrob) and I are coming in my car.

My parents wanted to know if there would be anything happening after dinner, because they wanted to know a timeframe of when I would be home.

Thanks, see you guys the 12th!

-Alex

Could we also get an updated list?

I got a hotel room reserved for Sat. night. C U guys on Sunday. :thumb:
Good idea on the Hotel. Where are you staying? My girlfriend is definately coming with me and I decided that this would be a perfect opportunity for a Valentine's Day getaway. I want to stay somewhere nice (in a room with a hot tub hopefully  ) on Sunday night and stay in the area all day Monday.

Since you seem to be domesticated now,,,try the Bavarian Inn Hotel. Right across the river from the restaurant. Easy walking distance, great view (like you'll be looking out the window) .

Alex-Are you and Rob BOTH bringing someone, or is it just the two of you in one car?

Bill-You bringing anyone along?

Cougarman-Even if the new SHO isn't running, I know you have other cars around your place

Right now we're looking at 19 people confirmed. PLEASE review this list and if you see any errors let me know ASAP. I'll make reservations for a few extras to help handle the last minute decisions. I've removed the tentative folks, but if you can go post up ASAP and I'll adjust the reservations accordingly. There will be a couple extra seats the day of, but if suddenly 8 people show up next Sunday that weren't on the list we won't have the room. Furthermore, I'm not sure how much flex room we'll have through the week on changing reservations. Basically I don't want to make reservations tomorrow and then have to call back every day adding more people. So, with t-minus 1 week try to get your schedules figured :)

Bavarian Inn is my first choice. I'll be calling them tomorrow. I'm also in contact with some folks more knowledgable on Frankenmuth than I... see if there are some other, lesser known options for us. I'll keep everyone posted.

As for meeting time at Bronners... how does everyone feel about bumping that back to 3pm? Driving from Bronner's to dinner will take all of 5 minutes, so that would give us 2 hours to **** at Bronner's. I'm thinking that would be plenty of time to check out everyone's ride, catch up on old times and browse through Bronner's (which admittedly is kinda HUGE). Opinions on bumping the meeting time to 3pm?

It's just me and Rob. I don't mind meeting at Bronners at 3, but I may be in town before that just to get a little tour of "the Christmas City." My dad was concerned on what time i'm gonna be home, seeing that it's a school night on Sunday. He just needs to know if anything is going on after dinner. I wouldn't think so, because Bronners closes at 5:30. Also, could I get an idea on how much money to bring, for dinner and whatnot?

Ok, so it's just you and Rob :thumb:

Nothing planned after dinner. As for price... I honestly don't know what their menu is like, though as Perry said, the web site lists prices from $5.95 up close to $20. Drinks, appetizers, main course, all depends on what you want.

I just stumbled across this.....

I can head up for the meet at 2 PM, but it looks like I have to be back up in Big Rapids for work on Monday morning, so I won't plan on hanging around for dinner.
