Any agreed upon time is fine with me. 3 PM works as good as any. Isn't that one of the Glockenspiel times?

And lets remind those who haven't been there yet, the food is great, but it ain't cheap.

I dunno, I guess that I call a $20 "all you can eat" meal to be pretty cheap.

If you drive 200 miles round-trip, you spend more than that on gas!

It's basically a $50 day for one person & car. Way cheaper than a Lapeer day, and definitely cheaper than a Gingerman day.

We were all but promised 3 to 6 inches. We got a slushy 1 inch that melted as soon as it hit. It was all gone by supper time Sunday.

If anybody wants to cruise north with me, I'm at US-23 and M-59, which is about 10 miles north of the I-96/US-23 intersection. I'll be leaving at 2:15, Frankenmuth is about 30 miles from me so figure a half hour to get there.

That being said... I'm looking forward to seeing everyone this Sunday :)

Well, I am VERY sorry to say this now. Kurt and Ryan I am ESPECIALLY sorry!!!!!

I am not going to be able to make it. My wife is leaving Friday for Kentucky and I have to work on her car. The front end is pulling something bad and I cant figure it out. It started happening after I changed the brakes and I took both sides apart again and checked the caliper slides and re-greased them. It stil pulls but not as bad as it was. So, now I need to actually take the whole front end apart and take a look at it and see if its something in the drivetrain. I am HOPING it isnt!!!! I unfortunatley have to take a day off work to do this too. So, I will be off Saturday but working on her car. I only get Sundays off but I need a couple days incase something bad is wrong. I was really looking forward to this too. I needed this getaway very much badly.

Chris, I am sorry I waited to the last minute to tell you but its one of those gosh darn mucker fother things that happen to make your hair get whiter then it already is :frown:

That would be great if everything turned out ok. I could use some suggestions on what would make it pull though. Like I said, it started after I changed the brakes. The caliper piston doesnt seem to be sticking. I was wondering if I could have knocked something lose when hitting the bolts lose with a hammer? :bonk: I didnt hit them all that hard. This was the first brake job on her car too. It pulls to the right. Could I have knocked it out of alignment? Oh my I just wanna blow the thing up. :omg:

Is this on the Exploder? Does it pull all the time or only under braking? Cars will naturally pull right because of the crown of the road. I can't imagine anything suspension wise you could've done just from a brake job

You may be able to hitch a ride with me Ryan... plans may be changing on staying in Monroe on Sunday night so I will let you know. Matt... on the brake job, were the sliders clean when you took them out and if they already were did you grease them when you put them back in??? Unless the front end of that Exploder is super loose (and I mean wasted ball joints outers, etc.) it is impossible for the alignment to get knocked out by doing a brake job. (unless you took part of the front suspension apart for some reason when doing the brakes). I would concentrate on a frozen caliper or frozen sliders, that's where I would start with the problem. I would clean up the sliders and grease, re-compress the calipers and then, even for the **** of it, bleed em' off a bit just to see the condition of the fluid as it comes out.

No, this is on my wife's car. its a 2002 Dodge Stratus SXT. The sliders were a little dirty when I changed the brakes. However, when the problem first started I took everything apart and cleaned the sliders again and re-greased them. I didnt decompress the calipers though when I did the greasing the second time around. I guess I will do the "checklist" ya'll left for me and then start over looking at everything closely. I have never had this problem before either. Thats what gets me. I even asked a couple mechanics here at work and they said the same thing you guys said. So, back to square one and see where the problem shall be. Ughhhh Sometimes the little things can be the biggest pains.

Again I am sorry Chris.....and Ryan and Kurt. I wish I couls say screw it and just go but I GOTTA make the wife happy first or no "play time" for me.

If you only "touched" the brakes, and didn't use a BFH on any other suspension parts, you are on the right trail with the sliders.

Another thing to consider is how much you compressed the pistons. if you didn't do both sides the same (I always compress them ALL the way in), it could pull for a bit until they adjust.

The other factor is the brake flush. make sure both sides are done. You really should do the full system, as the two fronts are on different circuits.

I sound like a broken record, but getting a Motive pressure bleeder is the only way to get a flush done right.

Another possibility is that, if you didn't use new rotors, or get the rotors cleaned up (personally I always get the rotors cleaned at the local muffler shop with every pad change...if I'm not doing new rotors), you could be getting different contact patches side-to-side, which will eventually correct itself.

In any case, she should still be fine for the drive.
