Ok so my fuel pressure regulator started to leak around the inside edge where the bottom half folds over the top half so I replaced it with a brand new one. Of course it didnt come with the two copper crush washers that go inbetween the fuel rail, fuel supply line banjo fitting and the fuel pressure regulator. So I put the FPR on anyways so I could drive it and now it leaks where the copper washers are. (like I thought it would:nut:)Does anyone know where I can get these? Or am I just going to have to get any old copper crush washers that I can find close to the right size? I dont know if ford still offers them or not but if someone knows where I could get them I would appreciate the info :thankyou:

Does the SHONut FPR kits come with anything?

Ford shows them as discontinued, nothing left in the warehouses. There might be some on dealer shelves, I can't search U.S. dealers from up here. The number is E9DZ 9154 C.

cheers

Just about any place that rebuils anything having to do with fuel will have a good assortment of copper washers.

AAP sells a variety pack of copper crush washers. There should be something in there that's close. It doesn't have to be perfect; that's why they crush.

If you have a propane torch you can try this - get a little piece of solid copper wire (#12 or #14 romex ground wire works great). Hang the said copper crush washers in a loop on the ground wire. Fire up the propane torch WELL AWAY from any flamable source (like the fuel rail you removed this from). Get the copper crush washers GLOWING red, and then take the heat away and let them cool down. I have heard this trick works, and I have used it on brake parts at least once or twice.

But that being said - the ford dealer - good luck, a good industrial supply house, or diesel truck should should be able to help.

I searched for a good fit for days when I was building my motor and I couldn't find anything. Everything was either too big or too small. I ended up reusing mine. I would like to find something that will fit without taking some to a machine shop.

Try BAT Inc. http://www.batinc.net/main.htm

Here are their Copper crush washers, Stat-O-seals, and Dowty seals:
http://64.202.180.37/files/oring.pdf

Stat-O-Seals are an Aluminum sealing washer with an O-ring bonded to the center, Dowty seals are typically the same thing, but in Copper.

Stat-O-seals and Dowty seals are very useful for fuel line and oil line plumbing, but NOT brake systems. Use only solid Copper crush washers for brake service.

That said, you might also look for an industrial hydraulic hose supply in your area, or look for a Parker (fitting) Store.

Does anyone have some they can measure the ID and OD on them? I don’t want to take it apart again at least at school, I have heard of heating them up because it softens the metal, I might just do this to the stock ones and see what happens, my dads looking in to new copper washers so we will see what the machinist man can come up with

If they are the flat kind like those used on banjo fittings for brake lines, then you can sand them down a little to remove the old ridges and reuse them. If they are the tubular kind, that won't work. NAPA has a catalog with a good assortment of sizes they can order, if you can find somebody there who knows.

I think I may have found some aluminum crush washers, also used for fuel fittings, that will work. I have to do some more checking into things but I will know after thanksgiving. But I am almost positive that I have found some that work :) I'll keep you guys posted
