I just changed my plugs and wires this past Sunday. All Motorcraft stuff. My #4 plug **** the bed today. I started my car up to go bring my friend home, and it was a definite missfire. So I did the standard plug spark test. I loosened all my plug wires at the ignition box, and started the car. I pulled each one off(with thick rubber gloves and rubber handled pliers) to see which one made no difference. Then after narrowed down to number #4, I pulled the #4 wire at the plug, and I heard the spark, and the motor was still sputtering.
So my question is, has the plug gone bad this quickly? It can't be the wire because the wire still transmits spark, right?
