price isn't bad if its decent shape.

you just have to look it over carefully, or bring an unemotional assistant with you who can point out the issues so you don't just ignore them.

Learning from a friend who bought one and was ripped off, and you having bad luck with your previous one, I would go over it with a fine tooth comb. check it over from top to bottom. if the previous owner was not a mechanic, suffice to say he would have had reciepts of any major work done like rebuilt tranny or 60k or 120k done to it. especially if he figured on selling it sooner or later. without receipts or facts of anything being done to it before, id take into consideration that it would need a 60k done to it and a possible tranny replacement sooner or later, but thats what ive learned from this forum and its only my opinion. alot of guys on this forum have better knowledge than I do, hopefully some of them will ring in on this for you.

It sounds like the seller hasn't had the car for very long. Try to find the PO and chat him up, finding out what was done so you'll know where to look to verify there was work done previously...

Lots of miles doesn't necessarily mean anything unless they show up as rust, poor maintenance, rotten busings/suspension, etc...

this is one off his reply

I'm not sure what you mean by the plug well, there are no spark plug wires, they are coil packs, I used motorcraft plugs as suggested by the dealer.
I replaced the fuel pump and the ecu, fuel filter, air filter and oil & filter.

I'm pretty sure she said chomedy Ford, I think its in laval but not sure. I'm not going to do any research on the car as I'm selling it for 1300 which is not expensive.

The brakes work and it has a radio in it, panasonic CD player.

There is not much rust on the car, I think a spot the size of a quarter on the front fender if I remember correctly.

I don't know about the 02 sensors. It wouldn't really matter with the small exhaust leak anyway.

The interior is mint, perfect condition.

I did not do a transmission flush or fluid change. The car does not overheat and does not blow any smoke and shows no signs of the water pump or timing belt going.

If you are interested, come look.
I'm thinking of trading it for a snowmobile if it doesn't sell this week.

No spark plug wires? really?! lol. The brakes work?! Hopefully. Small exhaust leak doesnt matter?! car has good wp and timing belt because it doesnt overheat or smoke?!Really sounds like this guy knows nothing about a car, much less an sho. Its taking a chance with this guy and car, but then again, you take a chance with any car. ive seen that some people have a sho and they think its worth alot when in the real world to sho enthuasists its not worth nearly as much as the person selling it thinks it is. you can call local ford dealers with the vin and see if they had it in thier shop. from the pics, its a nice looking car. its a tough decision i wouldnt want to make. good luck!

I would believe nothing that he says (good advice for most sellers) and just believe what I see when I look the car over.

I was going to get it, but then I asked myself, there must be something else besides this SHO for sale in the Montreal Area. There just has to be.

^X2, this advice/attitude is the best to have whenever your considering buying something someone wants to sell.

I look at like this...

I've got an infinite number of times I can choose not to buy, but only the one time to choose to buy.
