I have a 15' Non PP and the cruise control defaults to "adaptive" Every morning I push the button on the steering wheel 11 times to ultimately shut this off and enable regular cruise. I believe I can have the "regular" cruise be the default setting through Forscan? I know nothing of this process so perhaps someone can provide a snap shot as to what I need to buy or download? There is gonna be some eye rolling when I say I have no computer, no internet, no wifi etc. I do have a smart phone and can do pretty much what I need to with it internet wise. I also read just today that the sluggish steering can be reprogrammed to react like a PP?
Thanks for any input, always appreciated

This is the Bluetooth connector I am using and that is recommended by ForScan. I however only use that for ForScan Lite. I do not program with it. I am afraid if it loses connection in the middle of a flash, it may brick a module. I use

https://www.obdlink.com/products/obdlink-ex/?ref=forscan

to do all my programming (also recommended by ForScan). One large benefit to both of these, is the fact they do not need a HS/MS switch. They can access both networks at the same time.

I have not done the Cruise Control Mod but I did see the option to change it. I have done the PP steering mod. I received a DTC for the steering ratio being incorrect. I undid the mod and plan to do some more research on it. I am unsure if this DTC will disable anything (such as Stability Control) or if I actually have the PP steering ratio. It did feel like the car had more feedback.

forscan.org

This is the main site and will be able to answer many of your questions. They also have a forum that can answer a lot of questions. If you need help finding a spreadsheet for the Taurus let me know. I use the ForScan Lite app on my phone (I think it was around $5). I opted for the lifetime subscription to ForScan for $50. They offer a free 60 day trial. I have heard you can continuously renew the 60 day trial. The software is all available on their website along with FAQ etc.

Without a tablet or a computer I'm dead in the water for Forscan. It's frustrating to have the adaptive cruise set as the default and the double horn honk when walking away from the vehicle while running. My Wife thinks the horn honk is the dummest thing Ford put in a a car. My 2011 Limited didn't have it but I will admit after working on Jet Aircraft for all of my adult life, my hearing is bad enough that at times I can't hear the car running but I want the choice. If this could all be accomplished with a smart phone I'd be set. Not that I'm against computers tablet's or technology, just not enough demand in my lifestyle to warrant it,

A tablet can be picked up for about $50. The bluetooth connector is $100. The tablet can then be used for gauges, datalogging, etc in addition to out of car uses.

Being new to the platform and FORScan, I just took their recommendation. I probably paid more than I needed to but, I am glad I do not have to deal with a switch and I don't have to worry about connections. I have enough problems trying to learn this setup without finding out I got a cheap chinese knock off that won't communicate lol

Do you have that info?

The only ABS mod that I'm aware of is for adding the traction control switch to a non-PP car. (ABS) 760-03-01 - change data to 4001 AC. If you have the adaptive cruise control with collision warning system there will be a fault code thrown. If so then change the 4001 to 4201 to clear collision system fault warning.

I'm trying to increase the heat on the steering wheel but forscan can't see the cells in the above spreadsheet. Is there something I need to enable to see the 714.... codes?

Are you looking under HSWM (As Built)?

714 is the code for the HSWM. So without the HSWM you can't access 714. Does your connector see HS and MS CAN?
