Pcv is part of emissions system, even if not specifically covered. Should have 8/80 on it at least, CA is more typically. Take to a different dealer, and/or open a case with Ford corporate. Be persistent.

I've been watching this thread with interest.

I bought one vehicle extended warranty of all the new cars I bought...and got nothing from it. I'm watching to see how my SHO behaves prior to making that decision.

That being said, I disagree with the post above about maintenance causing trouble. When I was younger, it was prevalent to hear mechanics parrot the comment that changing transmission fluid will cause the transmission to fail. If it fails after a fluid swap...it was going to fail anyway.

What is this warranty people are getting for 695? I was told 1800, when i bought my cpo car with 35,500 miles. Now have 72,000 2013 sho pp? Mine i was told needed new valve cover with upgraded pvc oil separator not covered by anything i got, emissions over at 60,000, not covered by cpo. Wants 850 plus tax for ford to fix!

Have you shopped around the internet ESP discount sellers? there are a few like Lombard Ford that sell them at a good discount. I had a quote that I took to my local Ford service and looked for a price match and they laughed in my face stating that they don't make or lose money at that price. These are actual Ford backed warranties and not 3rd party ones that can be hit or miss.

There are several of these on the internet and they will even match price or compete with each other. The plans are tiered for different coverage and price. You have to compare apples to apples across those sellers. I stay clear of most warranties but, for this model, I would seriously consider one.
