Years ago I purchased an ESP and never really used it; was helpful getting full book value sale though.
I’m considering a quote for Premium Care 60k to 2022. Currently have 17k on vehicle and bumper to bumper expires this year.
So basically a 3 year 42k mile premium care warranty for $693.00, $50.00 deductible.
Thanks for the feedback

One nice thing about ford e.s.p. is a garunted loaner if you have to bring it it.

I'd be glad to see some thoughts about this, too. Mine has just over 6000 miles....but have been wondering if a extended warranty would be money well spent.

I purchased an esp with my 2010 it paid for two repairs, rear brake job, new calibers rotors and pads, and blend door repair. The two repairs were around $1600 and I believe I paid $700 for the esp.

Was this just ESP, or maintainence plan too? premium care alone covers pads/rotors? Can others please confirm?

Just the ESP Ford paid for the pads and rotors because the calibers were frozen. I'm on my third set of rear calibers in 68,000 miles.

That's insane unless it's tracked/drifted. If not, something is wrong with the design or fluid flow. I maybe have used 3 sets of rear calipers- maybe- in a 200k car

To the OP, with this technology it's not a bad idea. I am a bit of a gambler and would consider the longest power-train only warranty but realistically $700 gets burned pretty fast at the shop these days.

Thanks for replies guys. Your right, one service call other than the typical wear-and-tear items could easily put me near this plans cost. Too many potential gremlins outside of the moving parts. What doesn’t the premium care cover which the 3 yr 36k would? I don’t see this listed...
Thanks again

Tell me about it no track use flushed the brake fluid twice. The last set installed was aftermarket maybe they will last longer.

I would take it at $693 but I would need more mileage myself, I have Premium care to 100K.

Well this comment prompted me to speak to Ford corporate as the local dealer will not provide a loaner , I was flat out told they will not give me a loaner sinceI did not buy the car from them. They logging my complaint with the service manager. If you can't get a loaner Ford would reimburse for a rental up to $30/day for 10 days if I get one privately and the dealer has the car for warranty work. They couldn't guarantee I would get a loaner even if I waited to schedule. I scheduled an appointment at the dealer I bought the car from and have to wait for a loaner but otherwise they gave me zero issues so far.

They will pay for more than 10 days if the dealer calls and gets an authorization, too. When our old Fusion was in for transmission work, we had a rental for almost 3 weeks. It was definitely under ESP and not powertrain, too, because it had 70k on it. When it’s Ford’s fault for parts delays, they didn’t have a problem authorizing the extra rental time. Not sure what their criteria are for other reasons though.

I purchased ESP last night. At checkout there’s option for first-day rental and extended rental which I didn’t purchase. Nice to have piece of mind coverage again though

First day is nice if you live a long way from the dealer like I do because as soon as they keep it for any time at all, you can get a rental and go ahead home and pick the car up the next day. Without first day, they have to determine its going to take more than a day before it's authorized. We’ve never done enhanced rental up until our two newest Fords. On our Mustang we had the standard and I ended up with a Nissan Versa one time. I never want to shoehorn my fat **** in one of those again. Lol. The enhanced will get you in an suv or truck.

I will just add my 2 cents I have bought about 72 cars in about 15 years been to more dealerships then I can remember... I never buy extended warranty’s ... if u really think about it the money u spend on one just try to fined a cpo sho and the warranty on that is second to none.,, mine has 114 k I have not changed the ptu fluid.... my old shop teacher says if it’s not broke don’t fix it... it is more often true. Coworker at my work did some maintenance on his Jetta and they didn’t fill it and now the transmission is not the same . I know extended warranty out here usually are between 1500-2000k which to me with tax and interest no thanks
