I hope this helps guys. I am the Service Director for a Ford Store and what many people don't realize is that Ford dealers have VERY aggressive pricing on tires. Dealers are able to sell tires on the Around the Wheel program for as little as $5 over cost!! This is up to each dealer to decide. I sell tires at our store for $10 over cost plus Mount and balance and we give free rotations for a long as you own them just like the tire stores. Support your Ford Dealers!!

I've taken advantage of this now on, let's see 5 sets. It was much better in the early days when I could just go in and get them for at or x-over cost. Now it seems that I have to shop around get the best price and then get the match.

I get all my tires now from my local Ford dealer. They give me the best prices in the area, usually lower than either Tire Rack or Discount Tire. :salute:

I think it's a joke when a business says they "will match any price". They are too cheap to give you a good price in the first place while you have to do all the work finding the best price and then be able to prove it to them. It's like grocery stores with their in-store coupons at the front of the store. They won't give you the sale price unless you go find the coupon that they provide.

We have done the same on our last two ford vehicles - their prices for tires were better than any of the local tire shops (Big O, Discount Tire, TiresPlus, etc). And they are convinient - get an oil change and tires in just an hour or so....

my buddy got 4 snow tires on his audi for 69 each + tax out the door. They didn't want to do it but when you advertise you will beat ANY price and you present a quote from a legit tire dealer I guess you have to... They beat it by $1 per tire I know they lost money on the deal. I felt bad

Well, like anyplace, it can be hit or miss. My local Lincoln dealer used to be very competitive for tire prices. Usually within about 5-10% of Tire rack prices.

A couple of months ago, I found my '11 Town Car was out of alignment and my front tires were badly worn, only on the insides. Since my local Lincoln dealer had the tires on the rack(I seen 'em myself) I figured I'd buy them there since I didn't have to wait and I don't like my clients in an unsafe car.

The prices on the tire had gone up from $150 to $183 per tire in a few months. Then, after I asked for the new tires to be put on the back, the goons put them on the front. And they gave me a "problem not found" with a very bad tick on my driver's seat.

Anyway, a little bit of a rant. Don't mind me.

BTW, they gave up Lincoln and are now a Chrysler/dodge/Jeep dealer now...

I took my SHo in because my heater box is constantly popping... dealer said they never heard of that problem before and said my car was not doing it anymore when I left it with them. I told a friend of mine who works at a Ford dealership and just by what I told him he knew it was a blend door motor and said its a very common problem with Fords. I try to deal with any dealer as little as possible.
