Call me weird but I don't want a mustang because it is the best selling. In my mind that means I'm going to be just another stang in a ocean of stangs. I would rather buy a less known, less purchased car. Hence why I own a SHO. No one even knows what they are. haa

You just blend in to the sea of rentals and fleets. Lol if I could justify it, I'd get a mustang in a second. Whipple it and full send.

Nah, I don't. Tons of people always notice my car separate from stock taurus'. In fact my neighbors daughter has a hand me down 2011 taurus and always ask me about mine because she likes the looks, sound etc apart from hers.

Either way a SHO is more cookie cutter than a mustang just because of the limited aftermarket. Anyone semi familiar with a taurus can name the brands and parts you have without even looking at it.

Ray Charles could probably guess 95% of the modded taurus community.

Also, I can’t imagine them using the GT500 motor. I think they are all hand built flat plane crank monsters. The Raptor production numbers are way too high.

Hand built in Romeo, yes, flat plane, no. The flat plane is the GT350 motor, no supercharger.

From the "insider" info I got about dodge years back, they typically do a cold pull and that's what they use as their HP ratings in this case 707hp. After they heatsoak it's closer to a 600 HP car. They did some dyno comparisons between mustang/camaro/challenger and saw that the Ford and Chev were consistent to what they claim from warm pull to heaksoak. The Hellcat however was a different story, once its heatsoaked the thing is a dog, there are people on the hellcat forums that complain about it. There is a reason most real world runs on the track with average people end up in mid/high 11's to low 12's.
I'm going to be the first in line if Ford puts a predator GT500 motor in the Raptor. In reading Raptor vs TRX comparisons, they never compare curb weight. The Raptor is lighter, and the predator motor is lighter than the hemi. Sorry about hijacking this thread. I'll stop now!

This is exactly why I fear no Hellcat street light to street light. A freeway roll is different....lol.
