ok. i've done searches, and the only info i can find is for Gen 2s.
i need to replace the entire unit, as the glass is broken on mine. i just talked with a parts store, they said i need to go to a dealer. dealer said its been discontinued/no longer available. so.... any suggestions that'll fit into a Gen 1 without too much hassle (the less the better:p)? any quick replies would be much appreciated, as its been super foggy and need to be out late tonight (when the fog is at its worse).
thanks

Can you tell me the model number of the Blazers, or is the information you listed on your web page all I need to know to find and buy them?

Thanks

NotSoSlowSHO:
i recently have swapped the lenses in favor of the clear.
do you recomend getting the O.E. ones over the all-weather? is the quality of lighting better? (and for $2us less, an even better deal for a broke canadian student  )

I find the quality of the light a bit better, yes. I also grew tired of the 'yellowish' projection the 'all weather' lamps provided. the yellow actually seems to illuminate road signs and reflectors better than the clear... but maybe thats just me :D

I also upgraded to sylvania silverstars recently, and the amber fogs didnt seem right with the ultra-white headlights.

so, actually it was for cosmetic reasons  :p

but I am enjoying the results. thumb The combination of the fogs and high beam silverstars is VERY nice on lonely highways :) superb light coverage.

oh, sorry. Yes, the blazer fog lamp install is applicable for all gen 1's.

however, the 'daytime running lamp' mod that i provided a link for is for the 89 SHO only. wink

looks like it is. Without that, nothing would space the fog lamp outward enough. Doesn't seem any bigger then 1". You can always go larger and snip to fit it in the manner you desire.
