Well today I went in to get an oil change and when I get there the car wouldn't start for them to bring it into the garage. I knew the start had started to go on the fritz and was planning on replacing it later that week, well they can't get it started to basically I am stuck with them having to change it for me well they charge me a frickin arm and a leg for it,$274 for a starter and oil change. I thought that was pretty high, but when they get it off they show me that some of the flywheel's teeth are chewed up, they say this caused the starter problem(its teeth were chewed). Since I have to replace the flywheel I think why don't I just go with the Fidanza, its only like 60 bucks more than what they were gonna charge me for the stock one. They also highly suggest that I change the clutch with it, since everthing will be all open and it won't be anymore labor(they are charging $700 labor). They say something about ford has changed clutch designs or some, and that if I get this flywheel I have to make sure it fits with the clutch and what not. SO the question is will the Fidanza fit with the stock clutch,(I think I'm gonna get the SHO NUT clutch package.), where can I get the cheapest Fidanza. And is that a reasonable labor charge for installing all this, though I really don't have much choice, since they say I should definately not drive with the screwed flywheel. Any help would be great and the quicker the better.
