I was driving home last night and and almost to my house and a dog jumped over the gaurd rail and ran infront of me. I only had seconds to react so I slamed on the breaks and hit it. The dog hit right between the head lights and it tumbled and then went under the car and came out onto the side of the road somewhere. I pulled over into a drive way and looked at the front end and it is messed up pritty bad from what I could see on a dark country road. I called the police and the dispatcher was a bia.. and didnt want to send a cop out untill I told her my front end was messed up pritty bad. I looked at my car last night and the bumper was messed up the headlight clips need to be replaced, the hood wont shut right now but i needed a new hood anyways and the bumper cord is all over the road but the plastic bumper is fine just bent down alot. When I hit the dog I was going about 55-60mph so I know it is dead. But I really feel bad because there is no tags on the dog so someone is going to be waitng for fluffy to come home and he aint! And yesterday on the same bad mood during the day the secret project rolled off the front of the tow dolly, and now the rear quarter panel has to be fixed so I am just haveing a lovly past 24 hours! lol I messed up my back pritty bad when I hit it but I didnt go to the doc b/c I am stubborn and I wanted to go home, plus mom said if my back hurt really bad she would just get something for me to help with the pain (she is a RN) because she didnt want to go to the hospital lol!

nissanchick, I'm glad that you're ok. It really could have been worse. This is a great community so I'm sure there will be a lot of people who will help you if you need it. You should consider posting up a WTB thread. The important thing is that you're ok, parts on the car can always be replaced.

And what good is that actually going to do? Seriously..... Why is it that the seeming answer these days is to go beat the shit out of somebody? Common...get real. Beating someone up is not the answer to anything, in fact, can land you in jail in a jiffy.

I talked to the nahbor and he said he has see the dog running around for a while b/c he tried to catch it a few time but each time there was never any tags I looked at the car a little more and I broke the core support right in half and the plastic peice that goes in between the head lights and behind/above the bumper, is more or less gone!

OMG you guys I got out of the car tonight and my mom let my dog out to come over to me and I wasnt paying alot of attention and I saw my dog go running ot the back so I started walking back there and looked over my shoulder and WHAT DO I SEE???? A german shepered (the kind of dog I hit) walking towards me!!! I am thinking/saying words I cant post on here, and it folows me all the way to the back door of my hosue and tryed to come in the doggie door till I slammed the door to the garage shut! Wow I even looked at it and I dont think it had tags! HOLY MOLY! That was a little to weird for my taste!
