Is it possible to put the flexplate on backwards? I just dropped in the engine and now the starter (brand new) spins but the crank won't. The flex plate to engine block clearance is 1/2". You can see on the edge of the flexplate where the starter gear is touching the flexplate teeth. Any ideas? I can try to take pictures if necessary.
