i hit a curb parking and now i cracked the thing, and chiped some paint off, the body shop said they can't fix it cuz that kind of plastic can't be fixed, it has to be replaced, is this true?

Body shops can`t glass it because it won`t hold under flexing.I think it`s ABS,which can be plastic welded.

I disagree with the body shop.. they want you to buy a new bumpercover. The bumpercover though can be duraglassed. under the same conditions whether you hit a curb in the same place again or not it is gonna break.Have someone fix it.Or if you would like to try it yourself and are not dure how to email me and ill tell you haow then all youll have to do is have it painted

painting is mostly labor. Go buy the color yourself. Also a flexing agent will need to be added so the paint just doesnt flake off from flexing. It won't cost to much. My guesstimate is $100-200 bones.(all together)
