First 2010-12 FMIC?

So haven't painted anything yet. Just wanted to see what it might look like with the aluminum splitter rods. Doesn't look horrible. I think I'll love the blacked out look better. I just got the IC chiller bar in a few days ago. Just let it sit upfront to see what it could look like. I was thinking about how to attach the chiller bar. I don't want to damage the IC fins or have it look stupid....what do you guys think about fishing line? It would be strong and very much invisible over any other way like zip ties or what not?

Doesn't the kit come with aluminum zip ties? As for fishing line, might not hold up to being frozen.
No it came with nothing. I have stainless steel zip ties. Idk I mean my buddy professionally fishes in bass tournaments all over the country. I bet the line he uses is high grade. Can always freeze some it straight off the bottle to see what it does.

My vote is for non-black. Gotta be honest, I love the look of an exposed IC like that. Love the look you got there without the paint.

Agreed, the FMIC look is too new right now to hide it. Though the black coolers have their purposes, looks better where you can see it imo

That's kinda strange, the DEI kit I was looking at on amazon comes with like 4-6 stainless or aluminum zipties to run through the intercooler.
I bought just the chiller bar seperate from the Nitrous Express entire kit. Not a big deal I'll attach it somehow. Just want it to look clean. I've seen some with black zip ties, some crooked...don't want any of that.
My buddy who followed me home loves the look of it too. Thinks I should put the CF rods back on, says the aluminum rods take your eyes off the IC. I wonder if I took the plasti dip off my wheels and revealed the gloss black and chrome lip if they would enhance the new look even further. I was going to get new wheels but I might just put that money towards a tow hitch and accessories so I can tow my car myself to the track. Rent a trailer or borrow one from a friend. Plus my truck just got new shoes! 20x12 with 33x12.5x20 tires. I have 20x10 with 275/65/20 on it right now. Just a 2" level.

Yeah, as I mentioned, leaving it exposed has always been my preference. Showing off a bit is perfectly ok, especially when you have the jam to back it up...
She's got jam for days! Lol! Yeah I'm passed the sleeper look for sure...half murdered out works. My friend thought so too, he said your car just looks like you shouldn't #uck with it. Which of course is also like a billboard...come try me...to a lot of ppl. I get these young kids revving at me all the time. I honestly don't know if the rev is out of respect or to say you ain't $hit. But 99% of the revs thrown my way I'm like...really? Lol
That's my first instinct. They're revving as they pass me going the opposite direction. It's crossed my mind to whip it around not gonna lie

Got everything I need now to hook this chiller bar up. Quick mockup and it's clear
she's gonna look mean for sure. Also decided to leave the jet in the IC to TB pipe and make the chiller bar my purge. Running the chiller bar alone would use a lot of nitrous as it's a direct hook up, no jet size for that. So I'll purge the IC twice before launch. And give myself the option of doing a small nitrous shot too.
