I had an oil leak in the back of the engine next to the fire wall. My son took
off the top of the engine. He cleaned it changed plugs and wires. Replaced
all needed parts. He did not write down the firing sequence because I have
a manual for the car. When he put the wires back according to the manual
the car did not run right. I went on line and found some information. They
told us a different sequence. We called FORD and they could not tell us what
it should be. We are really confused because no one seems to know what it
should be. It is really running rough. I am assuming that all 1994 3.0 SHO's
are all in the same order, if so could someone that has a 1994 3.0 let me
know what the sequence is on theirs. 4-door -five speed.
Thank You

And as additional info, this is a wasted spark engine. There are only 3 coils on the coil pack. As long as 1&5 are on the back 2 posts, 2&6 are in the middle and 4&3 go to the front two pots your all good.

Most of the service manuals have the order listed wrong too, so this should fix the prob for ya

Thank you both for the quick response. I called my son and he will check
the wires. I have had the car about 5 yrs. I have had to have the clutch
replaced twice. Can you give me any good tips to make it last longer. I do
not drive it hard and put it in neutral, clutch up when stopped at lights. I do
like the extra pick up when It is needed. I enjoy driving a floor shift except in
stop and go traffic. My husband and myself have only owned one vehicle that
did not have the shift on the floor in 48 yrs. of marriage. I just want it to run like it did when I first got it. Any information you think I might need about the car will be much appreciated. Thanks again.

Thanks again for your help. I decided to check the car myself. It was hard to
find the plug wires in the back, very tight. when I was finished I found that the
2 and 3 wire were switched. I put them on the right number on the coil pack
according to the diagram you sent and took the car out. It has been a long time since it ran that smooth. No pops or radles. I can do 45 without having
to down shift into 4th gear. Up a hill at 35 in third gear no popping. This should also help the gas mileage. Thank you again.
