just ordered a new starter with a new solenoid attached. I don’t know why I haven’t done it before now… Just been lazy I guess. The other part is I really hate to do things to find they do NOT fix my problem. With all the testing I have done, I have a pretty good feeling that this will solve my problem.

I’ll probably receive it later this week, so I’ll pop it in and see what she does… I'm not even going to send the core back as it was only $10. Shippnig would probably cost that or more.


… So when are we meeting in Omaha again??

Muthaeffer! My starter didn't ship until today. I was really hoping to have it by Friday. I have all next week off and I could have got some tuning done. Hopefully I get it by Monday or Tuesday at the latest.

Next week when we do those shims i can help with the starter and maybe the tuning if you teach me..!! :D

The starter is a 15 minute job. I'll have it done before you show up. I can teach you tuning, but you'd be directed on changes rather than deciding for yourself. A lot more bad can happen with a bad tune and 16 PSI of boost. :)

i wouldnt decide my own even if i knew what i was doing. Its your car, sooo you call the shots!! Yeah.. starts it easy.. just thought i could say i was being usefull!! :) so do you not work at all next week then?

No, I don't work at all next week. I'm pretty much free Mon - Wed. I'm transitioning between jobs. There are some issues at my current job that I don't think is up to me to take care of (not my job) and I don't want to suffer through the BS. I am starting a new job a week from Monday on Offutt. My drive has been cut from 30 - 40 minutes to 3 - 5 minutes :).

It seems that in the last two weeks I've had a ton of job offers, but I found something I wanted already, so I haven't even looked into the others.

I wish I would have had the starter when Chris was in town a couple weeks ago. We have a nack for getting tuning done quickly.

yeah. i hear ya.i need to get a better job.. but im only 18 so theres not a whole lot i can do. Id really like to know how to tune so this works out great for me. HA. but yeah.. I learn stuff pretty quick so even tho it will take longer. i dont think it till be to bad at all..

Next week i have class from 11 to 11:50 on monday and then i can bring the red POS on over and we can get some work done on both. Ill see if dave can get new plug wires and plug well seals by then too..

I hate you... I have two classes monday but I also get to go home at 11:50 since I don't have to wait till 4:30 for football practice to start. I also have two classes and a lab on Tuesday. Next semester should be nice though. On tuesday and thursday my first class starts at 10:woo-hoo: but on Thursdays I have a lab from 5:30-9. and friday my only class is at 1

I think I'm running a little on the rich side, but everything's been done except o2's maintenance wise.

The only time my SHO was really broken is when I spun a bearing... to which was my own fault. Broken SHO's had a hard life ;)

It shows the narrow band O2's and wide band if you have one plus the converter. You'd be better off just getting a gauge as the TwEECer is very testy, so I don't take it out and swap it around.

Got the starter in... Problem still exsited. I checked over the wiring, jumped the starter directly and couldn't fine anything. The last thing I did was disconnect the power line to the alternator and the car started. I put it back on and it started again.

Last night when I got it started, it was having all kinds of issues with something shorting out. Today, it pretty much drove like it had when I brought it out here, but it's still not right. I'm not seeing 14v inside the car and a couple times, I saw the battery light flicker (it did this on the cruise too).

I connected the battery directly to the starter and that didn't solve the problem. I took my wiring (battery) out of the loop and that didn't do anything either.

I have two more things I am going to look at. Sadly, if the next thing I look at turns out to be a problem, this is something I did :(
