I have been on this site, off and on, for 4 years but never posted. Each time I need a new car reality takes over and I buy something else. By next spring I will be able to buy a new SHO and keep my other cars. However, I have a big question. How is it that some Ford products have a 400+ V6 3.5 ecoboost engine while the SHO only has 365HP? How difficult is it to upgrade the SHO to mirror something like the Lincoln 400+?

Thanks.

A tune will put you right with the Lincoln. I personally believe that Ford detunes from the factory (mainly the SHO) because they don't want a four door sedan out running the pony cars. They have done this since the Thunderbird TC days of the early 80's.

My 1990 Thunderbird SC (supercharged) would eat fox bodies all day even into the early 2000's.

Also, not all 3.5 EB motors are the same. The ones in the F150 are fully forged (please correct me if I am wrong) that is why you are seeing pretty big numbers out of the them. The SHO's are not fully forged.
