I just got my new clutch installed on my 91 SHO. It is the Fibertuff 9 puck with heavy duty pressure plate, ceramic TOB, and fidanza 9lb flywheel. All I have to say is WOW!!!! I love it. It is a bit tricky getting going at first with the light weight flywheel. After only a couple hours of driving it, and I'm almost fluid with it. The pedal is super duper light. Very easy to push down. So far, I have not noticed any chattering. I'm going to give it a good 800-1000 miles to break in. Its going to be torture not winding it out. Time will tell how long it lasts.

Finally after a long 900 miles I have gotten through the break in period. Wow. This clutch is really grippy, and the flywheel. Wow. Got on it for the first time today, revs like a super bike. I like it.

You can get on it all you want during the break in period, you just have to watch it when you shift.

Be careful......that is not true. All new clutch kits, with the exception of the stock Valeo kit, should have a break in period. You need to watch how high your RPMs are when shifting as well as just generally taking it easy on it during the first 500-800 miles. That is if you want to break the clutch in properly and have it last you more than a year.

If your installing a Fidanza you should even give the clutch more time to be broken in than recommended. The surface finish on that flywheel not so great for bedding a clutch.

ok, thanks, ya i paid 500 for the clutch, it better last more than a year, when i see some posts that say that people dont have to go through the break-in period it kinda makes me wonder so i need to make sure, ill make sure to go more than 500 miles before i get on it, thanks again
