Hello all. I am looking to replace out one of the SHO fender emblems as one of mine has some damage to it. I know that the emblems snap in but was hoping that someone could tell me how to go about removing the fender emblem that is currently on my vehicle. When looking at the fender emblem I do not see an access point where I would pop it out. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Two ways. Remove the inner fender or use a gift card to press the tabs down and pop it out. I would put masking tape behind the emblem the best you can to protect the paint.

I think the emblem and fender chanced between the model years. It may not work.

I thought the emblem changed only once between 12 and 13. All 2010-2012 models have a "Taurus" fender emblem and all 2013+ models have the same SHO fender emblem. Did they also change sometime after 2013? I know I have seen people put the SHO fender emblem on their 2010-2012 SHO's. There might have been a change later that I don't know about, I don't follow it very close.

I know the actual emblem changed after 2012 to the one with the SHO logo. I just didn't know if the emblems were all the same shape and would therefore fit different model years.

Geezuz....

All of you are/have been making this WAY TO DIFFICULT for the OP.

Ford did not restamp their front 1/4's and/or change the sizes of the faux fender vents over various model years.

The ONLY change was the verbiage of 'TAURUS' to 'SHO' in model year 2013. It remains 'SHO' from '13 to current '18.

'10-'12's had "TAURUS".

The SHAPE, as well as the SIZE ITSELF, NEVER CHANGED, over the various model years.

There is one solitary guide pin at the rear of the piece, Tabs on the upper and lower. Refer to my pics as a guide.

There is NO NEED WHATSOEVER to remove the wheel/inner fender skin, or any other silliness. This is a 10min job to swap, for both sides, at most.

Place a credit card, or even a small PLASTIC putty knife at the rear of the emblem, and pry outwards. That's it. It snaps right out. Pop the replacement in place. Done. Goodness. 3ccf32e712dff3a836041f45aa47be701dab985d396567469e4837d3116219bd8ae9be8cbd356ae00682a26d78e9cf22

I really wanted the police interceptor with Amber lights, but after getting the price on everything.... yep, just got the blank ones.

One side was a few hundred dollars.

Would have to find a wrecked one. Shouldn't be too hard in Michigain I guess.
