I just wanted to stop in and say that I let my Taurus go today. Ford reaquired it under the State lemon law. The process was not simple but in the end Ford stood up and made the replacement as easy as it can be considering they were being forced by the arbitrator.

I honestly can't say if Ford fixed my issues or not. My complaints primarily involved the P2 Start and being stranded amongst other issues. The vehicle spent over 100 days in the shop in its first 12 months.

I solved my issue by always carrying two fobs.

Anyway if anyone sees a 2010 White SHO with about 11900 miles on it for sale, let me know. I would enjoy the opportunity to chat with the next owner.

Good luck with its replacement. Sounds like you won't miss the '10 at all.
Hope you're back in another real soon.

Glad to hear they got you out of the car. What are you getting into next?

BTW if they sell that car without fixing it and marking the title they are breaking many laws.

When it came to a replacement vehicle, I decided to go with a fully loaded AWD Explorer Limited.

I will get back in a SHO but not before 2013. I feel that the new styling on the Explorer will hold its residual value much better than a 11 Taurus with a new body style right around the corner.

I can say the X with the MFT is pretty awesome, but it does have a steep learning curve.

I doubt my SHO will be sold locally. Generally Ford sends these lemons to a regional hub where they are attempted to be fixed one more time and then title washed and sold out of the home state.

I do believe the new owner does have to acknowledge that it was a buyback, but by titleing it outside of its home state the title branding for a lemon is wiped away.

BTW I will be selling 2 extra fobs and a Coastal Tech bypass. Just havent decided $$ or how yet.

It allows you to use the nav while in motion, allows you to see cameras in motion, and play DVDs.

My SHO was a reaquired car. The dealership was upfront that the car was bought back by Ford and gave me a complete print out of all the maintenance that was done. The car came with a 1 year unlimited mile bumper to bumper warranty, including wear items like brakes and tires. I took a chance mainly because of the warranty. 18 years later, I still own the car and never had the problems the original owner complained about.

i was hoping it was the lockpick unit as I have been seriously debating one and sweet talking my wife at the same time, so a used one for a discount might be the trick to convincing her.... but Ill take second place if you back out I guess! lol

Get one. They come in handy and it's pretty easy to install if you are handy taking the dash apart a little to get to the radio.

If you check my history from last May you will see a detailed write up of installing it.
It took the BB tech maybe 30 minutes the first time and half that the second time. Why two times?

He forgot to install the antenna wire..
