So last week my turbos stopped building boost and then i had some smoke out the exhaust, I knew it wasn't good.
Just got a call from the dealership and they confirmed both turbos are toast and I have a valve cover leak (may explain my recent cyl 3 misfire).
They quoted a ton of dough to replace these items so I'm picking up the car today and I'm going to order the turbos/parts online and hopefully find a good shop to swap them out for me locally here in Puerto Rico.

Anyone familiar with the turbo replacement options?
I see I can get some OEM replacements for $1000 from rockauto or amazon/ebay (Rotomaster/Clevite/CF Power/Stigan).
Any feedback on these manufacturers?

Looks like I can also a CR Performance rebuild kit for $580 or a upgraded CHRA(?) kit for $900.
Maybe thats the way to go? (An upgrade for the same budget would be nice)

Any additional parts I should buy (gaskets/etc related to the turbo replacement)?
I should prob definitely add a catch can to the list, eh?!

What's the shop time for replacing both turbos and/or the valve cover gasket?

Thanks for any suggestions

Thanks I did see that also. Do I need everything on that list like the brackets?

Do me a favor, make sure that link is correct. I posted a 2013 at first and went back and corrected it with a 2010.

No will need just what you are replacing including gaskets. All hardware should be able to be reused. I dont believe there are "torque to yield" washers/bolts.

I highly suggest a factory service manual (if you don't already have one). I think this is the exact one I bought: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-2010-...m1c644ecc5a:g:xRMAAOSwAvJW~25J&frcectupt=true

It comes on a DVD and runs on Windows (the application is basically a dedicated web browser for the manual on the disc), I don't know about the legitimacy but the one I bought works great. I also bought the paper books 2nd hand from a dealer, but have only opened them once or twice.

I had to replace both turbochargers on my 11' SHO also. We put new factory turbochargers on however there is a major sludge buildup in the motor. It drives in limp mode and I am being told that the motor needs replacing.
Did your dealership mention any sludge issues when they diagnosed your vehicle?

How many miles on your SHO? Has it been using conventional, synblend or full synthetic oil? Extended oil change intervals or special operating conditions as defined by Ford will promote sludge buildup.

The dealer didn't mention anything like this, but then again I needed a translator so I didn't get to ask as many questions as I usually would have. I ended up buying a CR Performance rebuild kit (and some downpipes). I found a local Ford performance shop that will install the rebuild kit and quoted me 14 hrs @ $55/hr. You have me worried now haha. I should be dropping off the car Friday so we shall see!

Bringing this back up. Tasca appears to be backordered. CR Performance seems to not have the greatest reviews and basically recommend the rebuild kit and it will be similar to stock. CHRA is $890 and Stage 2/3 is about $1700. ATP doesn't make them anymore. GH seems to be in stock or out of stock depending on the day and start at $3200. Is that about all of the options?

Sounds like it unless you can find big box part stores aftermarket options. I think I saw something on Rock Auto or maybe one of the other auto parts places. Not optimal but if you need to get on the road..Dorman, Standard, Cardone etc

I work for O’Reilly Auto Parts, we sell Rotomaster and I’ve been contemplating trying theirs out when mine decide to go.
