Look in the trunk, box is on the upper left of the seatback. It'll have the code on a sticker. Additionally it may be on a piece of white tape in the glovebox and on the trunk or trunk hinge.

The only way to permanently change the code is to change the box in the trunk with a different one. There is a way to add other codes but i forget how to do that. Why would you want to change it? Just get the code out of the trunk and use it as is.

you can enter your own code according to the owners manual, I've done it, not hard. just have to reset it if your battery is disconnected. I can look up the instructions if you need.

I customized mine by resoldering the resisitors in the box. It's not too hard to do, there is a couple of write ups on it. Also as mentioned before you should be able to find the factory code on the little white decals as described in the previous posts.

It can be changed, but it requires some soldering in the box.

Changing the resisters inside the box does not work on the 94-95 RKE boxes. Only the 93 and older ones have the resister.

You can add your own custom entry code on all ford and lincolns if you know the factory entry code. It will stay in the computer even if you disconnect the battery. I have had mine programmed since I got the car. And you dont have to solder anything. The instructions are in the owners manual
