Factory CD player question and a few more

I just picked up my 95 last night and i totally love it!However i noticed that the CD part of the audio isnt lighting up at all.When i went to put a cd in it i got it about 1/4 way in and it didnt turn on like i was hoping.Is there a seperate fuse for this?Is there a power button i am missing?Also,the volume and memory buttons by the gauages doesnt light up at night.Is it supposed to?One more thing,the gas pedal is extremely hard to push in.Is this normal for these car to have more pedal effort than most?Thanks ,chris.

Guys,all i am really asking here is does your CD player stay lit up all of the time or is it completely off like mine?If it should be on and lit up i will check the connection and if not can you tell me how to turn it on....Please??

I'm not 100% sure since my CD isn't working right currently...but I think the CD only lights up when there is a CD in it.
