Who told you that the XDI35 maxes with E45? I'm running E85 on the XDI35 with stock injectors without issue. I have the DW300C pump ready to install but haven't done it yet because I'm lazy...
How often you do plugs?
I don't think his is an big issue, like 76FoMoCo says, use towel, it only drips couple of OZ, adds few extra minutes to the deal
Every year..so every 2k miles

Matt Robinson @ Gearhead personally told me my XDI-35 good to E45...
Then you will have to start lowering boost again, just like you do on stock fuel pump and E30

To run full boost and E85 you need XDI-55

but you don't though... as I said, I am currently running 18 psi and 27 degrees of timing with 2600 psi fuel rail pressure with the only modifications being that which is in my signature.

Been running full e85 (technically e74 since it's pump fed and verified by my ECA monitor) since October with the only issues being the typically 2-try startup that is common in cold weather, and then limited traction.

Also, there is no XDI-55 for the SHO, it's an XDI-60 ;)

I am just passing along what Matt told me, but hey, if it works, you are living proof.
WOW, sky is a limit, I am sure I will need different tune for that tho
