Hey Guys,

I need some recommendations for good exhaust shops in the phoenix/Scottsdale area.

Our 91 was treated to a new Y pipe (this past winter), but the rest of the cat back has seriously deteriorated (especially the ****** between the y and the pipe with the resonator). I am back east so my brother will be taking the car in to have it fixed. He is mechanically challenged so any shop that would do that job right and not try to take advantage of his (sho-ignorance) would be preferable.:thumb:

Thanks
Dan

FWIW

Mighty Muffler on Cave Creek Rd was able to fix her up and for a decent price.

Tom i have some Exhaust ****** studs/nuts and springs that you can have. I know how much of a PITA it is to try and find these.

Since I was back east, I was only able to communicate with them on the phone.
1. They were able to modify/eliminate the ****** from the y pipe to the resonator by installing a flex pipe ($100 part)
2. They relocated one of the stock exhaust hangers to compensate for the SFC's.
3. realigned and tightened the rest of the catback exhaust

Out the door I think we paid $160.00 for parts and labor. From what i hear, the car is quiet and the tailpipes don't wiggle anymore.

I thought the price was pretty reasonable and I like the fact that they were willing to work things out with me over the phone.

Wow, that was reasonable. They've done some custom fab work for me before, not exhaust related but good welding nonetheless.
