I changed my y-pipe last night. There was a motor swap not long before I got this SHO, but someone didn't completely use the right hardware to mount the ypipe to the exhaust manifold, 2 nuts were 14mm (fine thread) (which I think were correct), and 2 15mm nuts with a coarse thread that look like nuts that go on top of the strut when mounting to the car. One of the front bolts are broken, but not where you cannot tighten it up. I was able to get 3 of the 4 assortment of nuts attached, the ones I did, are tight.

Nor were the y-pipe to the intermediate pipe bolts correct, just a couple of bolts with a series of nuts and washers holding the 2 together, I took care of that and got the M10 by 1.5 bolts with springs for that.

My question is, I am looking for the nuts to be correct, that go on the manifold bolts, what is the correct thread pitch for these nuts?

The ones from your local Ford dealer Exhaust stud P/N N811284-S101 and Exhaust stud nut N620482-S2 are the best because they are hot dip galvanized. They are not very expensive. ou can find inferior ones in the Help section at AZ. NAPA sells kits too.

I went to the local Ford Dealer yesterday,
These part numbers:

N811284-S101 for the studs, were $6.56 each
N620484-S2 for the nuts, were $5.51 each
For all 4 of each, $51.65 with tax. I see this as being a little pricey...

The parts guy told me that the studs come 2 to a pack, could he have misqouted me, the $6.56 each rather than per pack? I didn't ask, b/c I just thought of it right now.

Went to Napa, their kit was under $10.
Is the NAPA kit inferior? Anyone used it, how does it stand up to the rust? Is it a good idea to put copper anti-seeze on the studs and nuts when putting them in? I know anti-seeze is good, but on the exhaust stuff you don't plan on taking out, especially the studs?

I used stainless bolts with the heads cut off from the local mom and pop hardware store. All the hardware was about 15 bucks.
