Anybody can feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but you may have to use a bolt extractor to get it out. Only if it is broken at the mating surface. I don't own a 4th gen but have delt with many stripped bolts in my 3rd gen. Lubricant is a must before you start wrenching on it. Extractors haven't failed yet with exception to a Honda. Hammered a 13mm socket down then over a stripped 14mm bolt head and got it. You may even be as lucky to get a good grip on the stud once you open the ******. Good luck with the stud.
