What's your thoughts?

Any help appreciated. Taking to dealer for a once over next week before I no longer have a warranty (tune).

What RPM was the engine running at? Sounds normal but speeded up a lot, like at a cold start, 1,500 rpm or higher ... There's noise from the injectors, and some from the High Pressure Fuel Pump.

High pressure fuel pump. There should be a foam cover that goes over it to dampen the sound. Totally normal.

I had the foam peice off from replacing plugs. Still pretty loud with foam peice on and engine cover on. Just normal for these cars? I'm not a mechanic just want to know if it's something I should point out to the mechanic next week.

both the pump and injectors can make quite a bit of noise, and some people get concerned about that but its not a problem.

If you hear the rhythmic ticking, you are good to go. If you hear rattles or chirps, or really slow ticking from the HPFP, you likely need to have it looked at. Could be a LPFP problem, could be an HPFP problem at that point.

Have you had the oil/filter changed yet? What is in/on the engine right now?

Just changed oil 500 miles ago. 5w-30 motorcraft syn blend, fl-500s filter. 45k on the clock. It is very rhythmic so I think I have nothing to worry about from what you all have told me so far. Another note does sound like air leaking around clean side pcv at idle. Standard also?

I couldn't believe that was a normal sound so I went outside to mine to check it out. I figured if it was that loud on his I should have at least noticed something similar on mine (but I also have the fuel pump cover and engine cover on). So I took off the engine cover and foam fuel pump cover and started it up. Sure enough it has the same ticking and it's loud just like the video. I got out my mechanics stethoscope (you could also use a screwdriver) and sure enough it's the high pressure fuel pump. I stuck it to the valve cover to see if it was lifters and everything was quiet like it should be.
