If you don't mind an extreemly raspy snarly sound and a loss of torque down low, go for it.

Otherwise, make sure you get a set of high flow Y-Pipe from someone like Midwest (shamless plug) a quality, long (14, 18, or 22 inch) resonator, and your pipes don't need to be any bigger than 2.5 inches unless your looking for a look. Then finish off the end with something stainless steel or your going to be replacing muffs every other year, especially in the salt zone.

Good luck.

If you can wait I'm trying to organize a group buy for sometime this summer for a Stainless Steel High Quality cat-back system. you'll still need to hi-flo cats set but from there back it either OE, custom aluminized crush bent, or aluminized Walker Dynomax system.

the stock exhaust seems to be fairly restrictive, am i right? the pipes aren't mandrel bent so they must be somewhat restrictive? Did anyone make headers for the SHO?
